This morning I want to talk to you about a growth barrier that is hard to get rid of…it is something that we must always be watching for in our lives! What is it you ask? It the barrier of self-reliance! There is a remedy for self-reliance! It is the Holy Spirit! Today, on Pentecost Sunday, I want to share with you how you can become more reliant on the Holy Spirit! Less of you and more of HIM!

This morning we are beginning a new series called Growth Barriers. Growth barriers are simple to understand when we think about gardening or grass or just about anything that grows. Growth barriers are things that prevent growth from taking place.

If you want to have an unshakable faith you need a (1st message in this series) STRONG FOUNDATION IN GOD’S WORD! You need to (2nd message) TRUST JESUS! You need to (3rd) UNDERSTAND THE FACTS AND EFFECTS OF THE RESURRECTION! And then…you need to you need to do something that is incredibly important! You need to REMEMBER! Remembering is a skill and IT IS a life changing discipline! I have learned that many FOLLOWERS of Christ have poor memorizers! (SMILE) Do you have poor memorizer? How good are you at remembering? But remembering is more than have a good memory! It is knowing WHAT to remember…and it is knowing WHEN to remember!

This morning I want to help you develop an unshakable faith so you will trust Jesus! It is my prayer today that this message will cause your faith in Christ to come alive in a way that it never has before! It is my prayer that your faith in Christ will go to another level! It is my prayer that your faith will become life-giving and vibrant! It is my prayer that your faith in Christ will become the one thing that dominates every other thing in your life!
